A new wine bar/lounge- Michaela’s Vineyard - opened at 73 4th St (next to Kismet). The Vineyard currently has over 40 wines (most available by the glass or bottle) as well as premium beer selections such as Lindemans Belgian & Samuel Smiths. It has live piano each Fri/Sat night. Changes at Carmen’s
Starting May 1, Osgood’s Randy Mellentine is leasing Carmen's restaurant from her. Randy is keeping the same concept, but re-working it. New hours: Wed thru Fri 11a to 4p, Sat/Sun 9a to 4p. There will be a lighter menu for summer, with more salads, wider variety of grains, gazpacho & fresh fruit. Tropical shakes are also on their way for the summer: mango, pineapple, banana, strawberry. Carmen’s will continue to offer cubano sandwiches, empanadas & huevos cubano - all of our Latin favorites with future additions to come. Community nights will continue; anyone interested in a theme night should contact Randy at the restaurant.

Third Street’s Jenny Reid wants readers to venture out of our neighborhood and try Muza on the corner of 15th and Congress. Jenny has eaten there and found it to be a clean little place with European style food. Jenny feasted on pierogi, potato pancakes and stuffed cabbage and she reports that it was good stuff. There is a website with a menu. Broaden Your Horizons at Muza Diner...a little variety is good for us!
Step down for an uplifting pizza!Bacchus Opens Beneath a Daisy
Historic Sage’s Jim Scully has opened Bacchus wood fired pizza at 33 2nd Street, just below his other restaurant Daisy Baker’s. The buzz: a great menu, it’s open Tuesday through Sunday. Check it out. 687-0345.

GG's Kaffee is now open in the heart of Osgood, at the corner of Monroe and Third. GG's serves breakfast and lunch and offers senior specials. Locals report that the food is good and prices are reasonable. Why not add a visit to GG's to your "to do" list?
